Real-World Challenges. Practical Solutions

What slows most fleets down doesn’t slow us.

Electrifying a fleet isn’t just about installing chargers. Operators face a constant battle with utility delays, long project timelines, clunky software, and unreliable support. As outlined in our fleet charging blog, the real blockers to fleet electrification aren’t always technical—they’re logistical. EV Range was built to solve these problems head-on.

We’ve worked with ports, school districts, city agencies, and agricultural operations. Across every one of those sectors, the frustrations were the same. So we built a platform and a process that eliminates them.

Common Fleet Electrification Challenges

  • Long lead times and unclear roles between vendors, contractors, and utilities

  • Utility delays and rising demand charges with no mitigation tools

  • Inconsistent uptime from unreliable or unsupported hardware

  • Platforms that don’t integrate, communicate, or scale

  • Charging station apps and portals that confuse more than they help

  • Finger-pointing between hardware and software providers when issues arise

How EV Range Solves Them

Real-Time Alerts

A worker wearing a high visibility vest checking his phone.

EV Range offers real-time charger alerts to keep your team ahead of issues. Users can opt in for SMS or email notifications when stations go offline, encounter faults, or trigger errors—complete with fault type and vendor-specific error codes for fast troubleshooting.

The platform’s Status Event module tracks historical alerts to identify recurring problems and streamline support with hardware or vehicle vendors. Our support team monitors alerts 24/7, reviews logs, and works directly with your maintenance crew to keep downtime to a minimum. Reach us anytime at support@evrange.com or 833-EVRANGE.

Custom Reports that Work for You

Example report.

EV Range’s reporting suite was built by operators who understand the demands of fleet management. Whether you're tracking performance, proving ROI, or meeting regulatory requirements, our tools deliver the insights that matter-clean, clear, and actionable.

You can download data anytime, segment usage by vehicle, user, location, or time period to better understand charging patterns and operational behavior. This level of detail helps uncover inefficiencies and supports smarter decisions across your fleet.

Support that Keeps you Charging

Driver support center

Uptime is critical. EV Range provides 24/7 US based support, proactive system monitoring, and remote diagnostics to ensure consistent performance. Smarter Power, Lower Costs

Our intelligent load management tools give you complete control over charger power usage across your site. Help protect your infrastructure, avoid costly demand charges, and maximize your available electrical capacity. Set site-wide limits, prioritize key stations, and monitor performance in real time using intuitive dashboards designed for both single and three-phase systems.

  • Set power limit that site/group does not exceed

  • Set guaranteed minimum power for priority stations

  • Manage utility costs (mitigate demand charges)

  • Protect existing electrical infrastructure

  • Monitor with real-time load graph

  • Maximize power per phase (single and 3-phase systems)

Energy Security

Fleet-Ready, Operator-Focused

The EV Range platform was built with fleet operations in mind. It offers automated vehicle recognition, user-level access controls, and real-time monitoring. Whether you are charging light-duty vehicles or heavy equipment, you can authorize access by MAC ID, email, or RFID and track every session by user or vehicle. This is a secure, scalable system designed to keep your fleet powered and your data organized.

  • Authorize approved vehicle (MACID) and/or users (email/RFID)

  • Automatic vehicle detection via AutoCharge. Plug in and charging starts.

  • Pre authorize users and vehicles in EVR CSMS

  • Authorized vehicles and users will be provided free access to the charger(s)

  • Choose to prevent unauthorized vehicles/users, or bill for a fee

  • Monitor in real time or download historical reports

  • Dashboard leaderboard displays top users/vehicles over past 30 days

Incentive and Grant Support

Maximize EV Charging Incentives Without Breaking Your Budget

Transitioning your fleet to electric power doesn't have to come at full cost. There are local, state, and federal programs designed to reduce or eliminate the financial burden of installing EV charging infrastructure. EV Range works with you to identify available incentives, complete the required documentation, and structure your project to meet funding guidelines.

Explore current programs and eligibility details on our Grants and Incentives page.

We Help You Access Key Funding Sources:

  • Utility Programs including infrastructure make-ready and direct equipment rebates

  • State, Local, and Regional Programs such as clean air incentives and fleet transition grants

  • Federal Opportunities including tax credits and transportation electrification funds

Fleet electrification costs can be reduced through stacked utility, state, and federal incentives. EV Range helps you qualify, apply, and build to funding program specs.
